Overview
The American Career Institute, formerly Americare School of Allied Health, offers career training in Healthcare and IT and Networking Design. Courses are designed to help students earn their degrees and transition into the working world as quickly as possible. American Career Institute has three locations throughout Maryland

Student Appeal
Counseling and tutoring services, as well as job placement services, are available to all students, and emphasis is placed upon students' success in their programs as well as their smooth transition into the working world. Students have the opportunity to utilize all of the programs, equipment and technologies they would actually use on the job.

Financial
American Career Institute is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training. Financial aid is available for students who qualify in the form of Pell Grants and student loans. Payment programs, as well as a host of other financial aid options, are open to students.

American Career Institute - Baltimore, Columbia and Wheaton are approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) since September 1994. The mission of the Maryland Higher Education Commission is to ensure that the people of Maryland have access to a high quality, diverse, adequately funded, effectively managed, and capably led system of postsecondary education.

American Career Institute - Baltimore, Columbia, Framingham, Springfield and Wheaton are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET). The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), located in Washington, DC, was founded in 1974 for the purpose of improving continuing education and training and has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a "reliable authority" as to the quality of education and training provided by the institutions we accredit. In 1998, ACCET became the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified as an ISO 9001-Quality Management System, under the international standards established by the International Organization for Standardization, and continues to hold that unique status.
