Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design
Overview
In 1963, renowned illustrator and educator Phillip J. Steele founded Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design (RMCAD), with the intention of providing a "community of creatives" that would instill in students a passion for creativity, innovation, excellence, and lifelong learning in both the fine and applied arts. Through the years, RMCAD has expanded its campus in Denver, Colorado, the faculty, and the majors it offered, as courses in 3D animation, computer-aided design, and game art complement the traditional life drawing and sculpting classes. Standing proudly as one of the nation's premier art and design institutions since 1963, RMCAD is committed to continue to nurture the talents and abilities of artists, designers and visionaries for generations to come.
