Indeed, poetry has been a staple to mankind since its inception and whether it is written on parchment, in journals, or on a blog, it is vitally important to the human condition. As computers continue to rise in popularity, it is no wonder that poets have turned to the Internet to publish their works and with so many blogs available, it can sometimes be hard to find the real gems. Here are 40 examples of fantastic poetry blogs. Some contain original works, others simply transcribe the works of others, but if you are a fan of poetry, these blogs will brighten your day.

Poems of the Times : The blog Poems of the Times has a really interesting concept attached to it. All the poems on the blog are generated by looking at various newspaper headlines and compiling them daily into poems. The Poems Done By FF : The Poems Done By FF is updated frequently. Most of the poems featured are fairly dark in nature, but are well written and a good read for any poetry lover. However, the background of the site can get a bit aggravating if you stay on it for too long.

Poems of the Solitaire Mind : Poems of the Solitary Mind has been active since 2006. Poems tend to be fairly short, but well written. Occasionally poems by famous poets such as Robert Frost are quoted. Many posts are accompanied by a picture.
